The Age – Melbourne antique dealer Graham Geddes may be an Elvis fan, but he didn't buy an 1800-year-old Roman carving only because of its resemblance to "the King". The second-century Roman marble acroterion (an architectural ornament) has been dubbed "Elvis" because of its distinctive slicked back hair and finely chiselled facial features. All of this creates an unmistakably resemblance to the 1950s and '60s incarnation of the king of rock'n'roll long before the fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches took their toll…
