Captain Obvious

Here I was expecting a slow day today (with half the office gone and Christmas in two days, why not?) and I instead get smacked down with figures and spreadsheets as soon as I arrive. I guess it's time to put on the ol' Jacob Marley costume and pay my boss Ebenezer a little visit (you know that Bob Cratchett set up that whole "spirit" thing just to get a raise and Christmas Day off, right? You don't really believe in spooks, do you?)

Since I thought nothing would be happening today, I brought in a DVD (The Princess Bride)... Naturally, this guaranteed that I'd be too busy to watch it. *snicker* Does anybody want a peanut?

Addendum: "Whenever I see 'invoices' I think of the voices in my head." -Me, in thetaet's LJ.

We're All Sick Bastards

I felt pretty crappy over the weekend, especially Sunday (I was even running a fever). I see I wasn't the only one, either. Don't you hate losing a weekend because you feel too crappy to do anything, but then you feel fine Monday morning when it's time to go back to work or classes? I do.

At least this isn't going to be a full five-day week....

The Joke Comes True...

For years, jokes have been circling the internet about Bimbo Barbies and Trailer Trash Barbies and the like. Well, thanks to Mattel, they're no longer a joke...

Barbie doll exudes a flirtatious attitude in her heavenly merry widow bustier ensemble
accented with intricate lace and matching peekaboo peignoir.

(I'm sure that Barbie's slutty desperation was caused by the coming out of Gay Ken...)

Addendum: It occurs to me that if the lingerie on the Barbie to the left can also fit Ken, it would make a good Rocky Horror costume for him...
