Saw The Incredibles
on Friday. Pixar is now six for six as far as movie hits go. This one is different from the others in some ways -- it's not rated G, or as I put it the other day, "it's a Pixar movie with a body count!" Still has the same level of writing, plotting, characterization, and such that you expect from a Pixar movie, with lots of great little touches, too. As you might have guessed, I'm deliberately avoiding going into any spoilerific detail, but I would like to point out that Syndrome looks way too much like the Heat Miser. Must have something to do with living in a Volcano.
They didn't have the Star Wars: Episode III trailer before the movie where we went to see it, but I saw it online. Wow, it's full of CGI and explosions and light saber battles, just like all of the other Star Wars trailers. A bit soon for people to be psyching themselves up and setting themselves up for massive disappointment yet again, wouldn't you think? No matter how good it may or may not be, it won't excuse the crapfest that was the first two prequels.
Can I sleep now?
